Share & Save refunds the full 6.5% transaction fee through January 4, 2027

Sellers enrolled in Share & Save get the whole transaction fee back on eligible orders from their own links from October 20, 2026 through January 4, 2027.

Etsy is refunding the whole 6.5% transaction fee on eligible Share & Save orders through January 4, 2027. The program normally refunds 4%.

What changed

From October 20, 2026, sellers enrolled in Share & Save "will earn 6.5% back on eligible orders". Etsy's announcement puts it this way: "Pay zero transaction fees on eligible orders you drive through your Share & Save links." The higher refund "only applies through January 4, 2027, after which the refund will be 4%".

Who it affects

It covers every seller enrolled in Share & Save. If you're already enrolled, "the offer applies automatically". If you join now, the offer begins once you enroll.

An order counts when the buyer places it within 30 days of clicking a link you shared. It doesn't count if the buyer's last click before buying was an Offsite Ad. Links sent through Etsy Messages or placed in listing descriptions don't count either.

What it costs

Etsy calculates the refund the same way as the transaction fee: on the order total including shipping and gift wrap, before taxes. The refund goes to your Payment account as soon as the buyer completes the order.

Say a buyer clicks your Instagram link and orders a $40 print with $6 shipping. The order total is $46, and the 6.5% transaction fee is $2.99. Through January 4, 2027, the refund is also $2.99, so you pay no transaction fee on that order. Once the refund drops back to 4%, it's $1.84 and you pay $1.15.

Etsy's posts cover the transaction fee only. They say nothing about listing fees, payment processing fees or the regulatory operating fee.

What to do

  • Check that you're enrolled: in Shop Manager, go to Marketing, then Share & Save.
  • Share links in the yourshopname.etsy.com format. If you use a custom web address, set up forwarding to that format, or Etsy may not credit the orders.
  • Track results in Stats under "Traffic from your Share & Save links". Refunds show under Fees in your Payment account.
  • Note January 4, 2027 as the last day of the 6.5% rate.

What we don't know

Etsy links to separate holiday promotion terms, which we couldn't open, so this article relies on the announcement and the Help article. Neither says which rate applies when a buyer clicks your link on or before January 4, 2027 and orders after it.
