How TeninoVentures lists and pins a catalog that never stops growing

TeninoVentures
TeninoVentures has made more than 750 sales since opening on Etsy in 2025, with funny graphic tees, hoodies and Hawaiian shirts made to order. New collections keep arriving, and the shop tidies its listings in Alura's editor and lets Pin New Listings put fresh designs on Pinterest.
Shirts for a very specific sense of humor
TeninoVentures makes clothes for people who want their hobby, their job or an inside joke on their chest. There are Mahjong shirts with tile puns and Charleston jokes, Class of 2027 tees for seniors and their moms, occupational humor for nurses, electricians, welders and baristas, and loud Hawaiian shirts for cruises and backyard barbecues. Custom acid wash tees, with names, team logos or a business logo, are a customer favorite, and their vintage, worn-in look makes each one a little different. Buyers ordering several can message the shop to work out sizes, colors and placement.
Everything is made to order, and group orders for reunions, bachelorette weekends and teams are welcome. The shop opened on Etsy in 2025, has more than 1,500 active listings and has already earned the Star Seller badge, with a 4.83 star average across 146 reviews.
New designs arrive faster than anyone can pin them
A shop like this never stops adding. Halloween brings pumpkin patch and costume party shirts, the Class of 2027 collection keeps growing, and so does the Mahjong one. Every new design is a new listing, and each one needs a clear title, tags, alt text for its photos and, ideally, a few pins.
Pinterest suits this kind of product. People go there to plan a game night, a senior night or a vacation outfit, and a funny shirt is an easy thing to save. But making pins by hand for a catalog that keeps growing is the kind of task that never gets finished. By the time one batch is done, the next collection is live.
“We add new designs all the time. If every one needed pins made by hand, most of them would never make it to Pinterest.”
New listings get pinned without anyone remembering
TeninoVentures connected its Pinterest account to Alura and switched on Pin New Listings. Once a day it picks up listings that went live in the past day and adds pins for them to the queue. The shop doesn't have to make anything: a new softball senior shirt or Mahjong sweatshirt shows up as pins on its own.
The pin text is written by AI from the listing, and the photos are cropped to Pinterest's tall 2:3 shape. Pins go to themed boards, like Halloween Fashion: Spooky & Festive Designs, Christmas Shirts and Gifts, and Kids' Trendy T-Shirts & Sweatshirts Collection. Smart Pins is on as well, adding pins from the shop's active listings, ranked mostly by Etsy listing views. Exclusions can keep particular shop sections, listings or keywords out of either automation, and anything already in the queue can still be edited, reordered or deleted before it posts.
AI for the alt text, their own words for the joke
The listings themselves get worked on in Alura's listing editor, mostly one section at a time rather than as a full optimization. For the slow, repetitive parts, like alt text for every photo or a fresh set of tags, it uses the single AI buttons. Alt text describes each photo for shoppers who use screen readers, and with several photos per design across more than 1,500 listings, writing all of it by hand is a big job. Titles are mostly written by hand.
Each listing shows a Listing score with grades for photos, video, title, description and tags, which makes a missing piece easy to spot. Changes stay in the editor until the shop clicks Publish changes, and Listing history keeps earlier versions in case one needs restoring.
“I'll let AI write alt text all day. The title is the first thing a buyer reads, so I want my own words there.”
Titles that lead with the design
Some of the shop's early titles were written as a run of search phrases. The rewrites put the design first, then the garment details a buyer checks before ordering: the Comfort Colors blank, garment-dyed or ringspun cotton, a youth size. A parent buying a Halloween shirt for a kid can see what it is, who it fits and what it's made of before opening the listing.
On Pinterest, the new designs go out with titles written from those listings. Recent pins include "Funny Cat Mahjong Shirt with Nine Lives Discards", "Senior Softball Shirt Class of 2027 Vintage Diamond Tee" and "Vintage BBQ Smoker T-Shirt for Pitmasters and Grill Lovers", each linking back to its Etsy listing.

Name the niche before the garment
Name the niche before the garment. A Mahjong player, a disc golfer or a senior softball mom searches for their thing first, and the fabric and fit can come later in the title.
Build collections, not one-offs. A run of designs around one hobby or one season gives a returning buyer more to choose from, and it gives each Pinterest board a clear theme.
“Write the title for the person buying the gift. They're looking for a Mahjong shirt for their friend. The fabric can come second.”
