How MillustrationAtelier keeps a thousand wedding templates on Pinterest

MillustrationAtelier
MillustrationAtelier has sold more than 6,000 editable templates on Etsy since 2022, most of them for weddings and baby showers. With well over a thousand listings, the shop uses Alura's Smart Pins to keep its designs on Pinterest, with pins written in French from each listing.
A wedding day's worth of paper, in matching sets
MillustrationAtelier makes the paper side of a celebration as digital templates. A couple buys a design, edits the names, date and colors in Templett or Canva, and prints it at home, at a local print shop or through the shop's printing partner, Prints of Love. Nothing is shipped. Most listings link to a free demo, so buyers can try the editor before they pay.
The designs come in collections with names like JUNE, a pastel yellow set with clean lines. One collection can run from the save the date and the invitation to the menu, table numbers, welcome sign and seating chart. The catalog also includes complete wedding websites made in Canva, with pages for RSVPs, the couple's story, travel and the dress code. The full range, including the wedding websites, is also at millustrationatelier.com.
More than a thousand listings and one Pinterest account
Wedding planning starts long before anyone opens Etsy. Couples collect colors, invitations and table ideas on Pinterest, often months before the date. A template shop with a strong look belongs on those boards, and MillustrationAtelier has a lot of looks: terracotta and desert boho, black and white minimal, burgundy, Italian "That's Amore", pink gingham strawberry first birthdays.
The catch is volume. Each collection is spread over many separate listings, each with its own photos, and the catalog runs past a thousand. Pinning that by hand means choosing a listing, cropping a photo, writing a title and description in French, picking a board and doing it again tomorrow. For a design shop, that time comes straight out of making new collections.
“Pinterest is such an important source of inspiration for couples planning their wedding. I want my designs to be part of that creative journey, helping them bring their vision to life.”
A queue that fills itself from the catalog
The shop connected its Pinterest account to Alura and turned on Smart Pins. Once a day, Alura tops up a queue about ten days ahead with pins made from active listings. It picks listings mostly by their Etsy views, so the designs shoppers already look at most come up most often. Any photo pinned in the past week is skipped, which matters for a shop with several photos per design: the same seating chart can come back later with a different picture.
For pin text the shop chose "Optimized for Pinterest with AI". Alura writes a title, description and alt text for each pin from the listing, in the listing's own language. Most of MillustrationAtelier's listings are written in French, so the pins come out in French too, with no translation step. Each pin uses the tall 2:3 format and links back to the Etsy listing.
The pins go to a single board, and the Pin Queue sets how many go out a day and at what times. The queue stays editable. Before a pin posts, the shop can reword it, move it up, publish it right away or delete it.
“With such a large collection of designs, staying consistent on Pinterest can be challenging. Alura's Smart Pins helps me save time and keep sharing my products while I focus on creating new collections.”
Etsy titles become pin titles
Smart Pins draws from across the collections. Recent pins include terracotta thank you cards, a desert boho thank you card, a pastel yellow save the date and the "That's Amore" wedding website, each linking to its listing.
The pin text is written for a different reader than the listing. An Etsy title strings several search phrases together, separated by commas, so the listing turns up for each of them. A pin title reads as one line someone would save. Below, each Etsy title sits above the pin title Smart Pins wrote from it.
The description does the same job. The pin for the JUNE save the date opens with "Annoncez votre mariage avec ce Save the Date jaune pastel moderne. Personnalisez facilement avec vos détails, imprimez où vous voulez" (announce your wedding with this modern pastel yellow save the date, add your details, print wherever you like). It names the color and the style, and makes clear this is a file the couple edits and prints, which is what someone saving wedding ideas needs to know before clicking through.

Design in collections, sell the whole table
Build each design as a family, not a single invitation. When the menu, the table numbers and the welcome sign share a name and a look, a couple who loves one piece can find the rest in a single search of your shop. Put the collection name at the end of every title and link the matching pieces in each description. Then let the bundle discount do the rest of the persuading. And keep a free demo link in every listing, so a couple can test the editor before they buy.
“I love creating cohesive wedding collections where every detail feels connected, from the invitations to the menus and welcome signs. My goal is to make it easier for couples to create a beautiful and harmonious celebration.”
