How GizmoGlassArt puts its torch-made glass on Pinterest

GizmoGlassArt
GizmoGlassArt has made more than 1,000 sales on Etsy since 2024, selling lampwork glass rings, earrings and cocktail stirrers made in a small studio in Antalya, Türkiye. The shop hands its Pinterest posting to Alura's Smart Pins and Pin New Listings, which turn its Etsy listings into pins on a single board.
Same hands, same glass, a new name
Every piece in the shop is shaped by hand over a torch, one at a time, using lampworking. The best known are the stackable Murano glass rings, offered in 30 colors and 21 sizes and made to be worn alone or stacked in mixed colors. Around them sit spiral and flower earrings, blown glass bubble necklaces, chain bracelets with chunky glass links, glass cat brooches with long curved tails, and wine glasses with hand-modified stems.
Then there are the cocktail stirrers. Cactus, strawberry, pumpkin, witch's hat, snowman and pickleball paddle tops. The cactus tops are made over a torch without molds, so small differences make every piece its own. For buyers who can't choose, the Blind Date With Your Ring box sends a surprise ring, as a single, a pair or a party pack. Orders ship from Türkiye, and the studio prepays customs for US buyers so nothing extra is due on delivery. The shop holds a 4.97 rating from more than 300 reviews. It recently changed its name from Atelier Gizmo to Gizmo Glass, with the same hands making the same glass.
Glass sells on looks, and pins take time
Glass jewelry is about as visual as a product gets. A ring in sea green with light coming through it does more than any description could, which makes Pinterest a natural place for the shop to be seen.
Keeping a Pinterest account going takes steady work, though. Each pin needs a photo, a title and a description written for Pinterest rather than Etsy, and the pins have to keep going out week after week. For a studio where every piece is made by hand over a torch, that is time spent away from the glass. The catalog also turns with the seasons, from summer cactus and strawberry stirrers to Halloween witches and Christmas snowmen, and new pieces like the cat brooches should show up on Pinterest while they're still new.
“Glass is a photo thing. People save a colorful ring long before they buy one. I just can't sit and write pins between torch sessions.”
Two automations, one board
The shop connected its Pinterest account to Alura and switched on both automations. Smart Pins fills a queue from the shop's active listings about ten days ahead, ranking them mostly by Etsy listing views. Pin New Listings picks up listings that went live in the past day, so a new brooch or a seasonal stirrer set gets its own pins without anyone remembering to make them.
Everything goes to one board, Handmade Glass Jewelry. The pin text is set to Optimized for Pinterest with AI, so each pin gets a title and description written from the listing rather than a copy of the Etsy title. Because Smart Pins won't reuse a photo pinned in the last seven days, a listing that comes around again usually shows up with a different picture and fresh wording.
Pins post on their own once they're in the queue. The shop can open the Pin Queue to reorder, edit or delete anything before it goes out, and can exclude listings, sections or keywords it doesn't want pinned.
“I'd rather the pins come from what people are already looking at in the shop. New pieces get their turn without me having to remember.”
Pins that read like the listings
Because the pins are written from the listings, clear listings make clear pins. In Alura's listing editor the shop has accepted AI title suggestions that put the material and the options into the title. The ring listing now reads "21 Sizes 30 Colors", and its pin follows: "Colorful Murano Glass Ring in 21 Sizes and 30 Colors".
The cactus stirrers work the same way. Their pin reads "Add playful charm to drinks with handmade Murano glass cactus stirrers. Available in three lengths and two end styles, perfect for cocktails, coffee, and mocktails." The new cat brooch went out as "Colorful Handmade Glass Cat Brooch for Jackets & Bags". Each pin links back to the listing on Etsy.
Taken together, the Handmade Glass Jewelry board looks like the studio's own shelf: stacked rings next to Halloween stirrers, bubble necklaces next to the new brooches. The automations build those pins from listings the shop wrote and photographed itself.

Let the light do the selling
Many of the shop's photos are taken in strong daylight against plain, pale backgrounds, with each ring's color falling as a shadow on the table beside it. Those photos do double duty. They show the piece in the Etsy listing, and they are the same pictures Smart Pins turns into pins, so the care that goes into one good shot carries straight over to Pinterest. For a shop whose product is color and light, the photo does most of the talking.
“Shoot glass in real sunlight. The shadow is half the picture. If you can't see the color on the table, you haven't got the shot yet.”
