How ElderberryStudiosUK keeps its wedding invitations on Pinterest

ElderberryStudiosUK
ElderberryStudiosUK has made more than 11,000 sales of wedding stationery on Etsy since 2018, all designed, printed and dispatched by one person in the UK. It uses Alura to turn its invitations into Pinterest pins, where couples plan, and to rewrite listing titles so they mention the envelopes.
Wildflowers, thick card and eight envelope colours
ElderberryStudiosUK makes wedding stationery: invitations, evening reception invites, save the dates, table numbers and thank you cards. Most designs are soft watercolour wildflowers, floral wreaths and simple calligraphy, printed on 350gsm diamond cut white card. Every order is designed, printed and dispatched from the UK by one person, sent first class in hardback packaging so it arrives undamaged.
Two details make the shop its own. Invitations and save the dates come with a choice of eight envelope colours, so a couple can match their theme. And for couples who have been together a while, there is a cheekier line of save the dates and invitations that read "About bloody time" or, for a gentler crowd, "About flipping time".
Wedding planning often starts on Pinterest
For a lot of couples, stationery starts on a Pinterest board: colours, flowers, a dress, a venue, and somewhere in there, invitations. A stationery shop that isn't on those boards can miss the months when those decisions get made.
For a one-person shop, keeping up on Pinterest competes with printing and packing. Every design needs its own pin, written for Pinterest and saved to the right board. The Etsy listings had a smaller gap of their own. A title like "Floral Wedding Invitation: Wildflower Design, Thick Cardstock" named the card but left out the envelope choice, which is one of the shop's best features.
“Couples start planning on Pinterest months before they order anything. If my invitations aren't on their boards by then, I've missed them. And every order here gets printed and packed by me.”
Pins written from each listing
The shop connected its Pinterest account to Alura and turned on Smart Pins and Pin New Listings. Smart Pins fills a queue about ten days ahead with pins made from the shop's active listings. It picks listings mostly by how many Etsy views they get, and it won't reuse a photo pinned in the past week. Pin New Listings adds any listing that went live the day before, so a new save the date design gets pinned without a separate step.
The pin text is written by AI from the listing, and it carries over the details a couple would otherwise message to ask about. One pin, "Autumn Wildflower Wedding Invitations with Envelopes", puts the facts in plain words: "Thick 350gsm cardstock, 7x5" size." Another says the invitations are "Designed and printed in the UK, shipped with care." The pins go to two boards, Wedding Invitations and Save the Date Cards.
“I want the pin to answer the questions I get in messages. What size, what card, what envelopes. If the pin says it, the couple who clicks already knows what they're getting.”
Titles that mention the envelopes
The second job was the titles. The shop opened its invitation and save the date listings in Alura's listing editor, where each one has a Listing score from 0 to 100 with separate grades for photos, title, description and tags. It ran Start optimization on title, description and tags, and the AI suggestions went live only when the shop clicked Publish changes. Listing history keeps the old version if a rewrite misses.
The rewrites are modest. Mostly they add the one thing a title was missing, such as the envelopes or the card size, and they move "Wedding Invitations" to the front, ahead of the design. The designs already do the selling on looks, so the titles only needed to carry the facts.
Invitations on Pinterest, envelopes in the title
The shop's two Pinterest boards now fill with its own wildflower invitations and save the dates, and the pins name the card, the size and the envelope options. An evening reception pin, "Summer Spring Floral Wedding Reception Invitations", describes "7x5 inch evening reception invitations" on "thick diamond cut cardstock", printed in the UK. A couple can tell what arrives in the post before they ever open the listing.
On Etsy, the wildflower invitation on thick card now reads "Wedding Invitations with Wildflower Design, Thick Cardstock and Custom Envelopes". The summer wildflower pack, which used to open with the season and the design, now opens with "Wedding Invitations Pack" and keeps the RSVP and info cards in the title. None of it changes the designs. It just puts the details a couple checks where they will see them.

Sell the details couples ask about
The shop's advice to other stationery sellers is to treat every place a couple might see a design as a listing in its own right, Pinterest included. A pin with a pretty photo and no details leaves the couple to do the work. One that names the card, the size and the envelope colours does it for them, and the couple who clicks through already knows what to order.
“Put your card weight and envelope options everywhere: photos, titles, pins. Couples compare a lot of shops. The one that answers their questions up front is the one they message.”
