BlingByKey has made more than 1,400 sales on Etsy since 2019 with its hand-set rhinestone stethoscopes and nurse gifts, and holds a 4.96 star average from 413 reviews. Kiesha uses Alura's Smart Pins to keep her pieces posting to Pinterest, and the listing editor to give each one a title that says exactly what it is.

Every stone set by hand

BlingByKey takes authentic stethoscopes, Littmann Classic III and Cardiology IV, MDF Acoustica and Prestige Medical, and covers the chestpiece and headset in hand-placed rhinestones and crystals. Many come with a matching case: a zip case with a heartbeat line and a heart worked in crystals, and the buyer's name spelled out underneath, with a title like RN or Dr. if they want one. The same treatment goes on pulse oximeters, blood pressure cuffs and face shields.

The pieces come in named collections, like Cotton Candy, Essential Crown and Self Love, in colors from raspberry and hot pink to lavender, chocolate brown and black with gold. They're made to mark the milestones of a healthcare career, from nursing school graduation and white coat ceremonies to promotions. Kiesha, the founder and creator, is a Certified Medical Assistant with more than 20 years in healthcare. Since 2019 the shop has grown from stethoscopes into custom rhinestone handbags, personalized apparel and keepsakes, under a mission she calls Sparkle With Purpose. In her words, she is "a queen building an empire out of sparkle".

Hand work leaves little time for Pinterest

A bling stethoscope is a visual product. It sells on the photo: the sparkle on the chestpiece, the name on the case, the graduation cap and flowers in the background. That makes Pinterest a natural fit, and the shop's photos are already styled for it, shot in soft light on marble with pinks and whites around the piece.

Keeping a Pinterest account fed takes time: choosing the photo, cropping it tall, writing a title and description, picking the right board, then doing it again tomorrow. In a shop where each piece is set by hand, every hour spent pinning is an hour away from the work table.

“Every rhinestone is placed by hand, and creating personalized pieces takes time. Alura helps me maintain my Pinterest presence while I focus on designing, creating, and running my business. It's one less thing competing for my attention at the crafting table.”

Boards built like a store, pins filled in automatically

Kiesha connected her Pinterest account to Alura. Her boards are grouped the way a shopper browses: one for the stethoscopes, called Sparkle for Scrubs, plus boards for her core products, for occasions and gift moments, and for the brand story behind the sparkle.

Then she turned on Smart Pins. Once a day, Alura fills the pin queue about 10 days ahead with pins made from her active listings, choosing them mostly by how many Etsy views each listing gets. A photo pinned in the last 7 days is never reused, so the same shot doesn't keep coming back. Each image is cropped to Pinterest's tall 2:3 shape, and the pin title and description are written by AI from the listing. Pin New Listings is on too, so a new piece is picked up by the daily job after it goes live.

The automation doesn't stop her pinning by hand. She still makes some pins herself in the Create tab, often with the text in her own words. Smart Pins handles the steady background work, and her own pins are the ones she picks.

“I love being able to organize my Pinterest boards around my products and the people I'm creating for. Alura helps keep my creations visible while I'm busy bringing new ideas to life. From my signature bling stethoscope bundles to custom handbags and accessories, there's always something new to share.”

Titles that name the tubing and the crystals

AI pin text is only as clear as the listing it's written from, so the titles matter twice. In Alura's listing editor, Kiesha has reworked titles on her stethoscopes and medical accessories, one listing at a time. Some are the AI's draft, kept as written; others she typed herself. Either way, nothing goes to Etsy until she clicks Publish changes, and Listing history keeps the old version if she wants it back. The newer titles lead with the product and then say what a buyer is checking for: the tubing color, the kind of crystals, whether a case comes with it and, on the Littmann pieces, the model.

Pins and titles that describe the piece

The older titles carried collection names like Ray of Sunshine and gift phrases, written with the person buying a present in mind. The new ones read like a short product description, so a shopper comparing a yellow stethoscope with a purple one can tell them apart before clicking. On Pinterest, the pins carry that detail too. One pin reads "Personalized White Cotton Candy Bling Stethoscope Gift" and calls it a fit "for nursing graduates and white coat ceremonies". Another is titled "Elegant Custom White Stethoscope with Pink Crystals & Rose Gold".

Sort your boards by occasion as well as product

If you sell gifts, give your Pinterest boards an occasion layer. Someone shopping for a nurse's graduation may never search for your product's name, but they will save ideas to a graduation board. Keep your product boards too, so people who already know what they want can find it. And style your photos for the board they'll land on: a graduation cap in the frame says "gift" faster than any caption.

“Someone shopping for a nursing graduation or pinning ceremony gift may not know to search for a rhinestone stethoscope. They're looking for something meaningful to celebrate someone's journey. Organizing my boards by both product and occasion helps connect my creations with the moments and people they're designed to celebrate.”
