Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
I am 28 years old and have never known anything about knitting. Knitting needles and yarns were alien to me. To tell the truth, I thought that knitting was an activity for grandmothers. However, after having a talk with one mom, I took the knitting needles into my hands. Why? because I just wanted a simple, warm winter snood for myself. Unfortunately, I found one that was too expensive. Then, my friend advised, "Knit it yourself; there is nothing difficult about plain stockinette." "What—what stockinette?" I wondered. I was completely new to it. I bought some yarn, and a friend loaned me needles and taught me how to knit. This is how I made my first snood... but the yarn was rough and the needles were long and difficult. After that, I started looking for good knitting needles and yarns. I prefer high-quality yarn, and all of the yarns used in my work are of the highest possible quality...I found other young knitters who helped me move on. In time, I also bought a homemade hand-knitting machine, which sped up my knitting.
This is how my "acquaintanceship" with needles and yarns and my love for my products started. I put a piece of myself into each product. so that you will feel really exceptional wearing my knitted creations! I enjoy knitting as a hobby, and it's wonderful to receive such positive feedback about my work. I love making my customers happy. I think everything matters in my work: quality, warm feelings, attention to detail, and, most importantly, a happy customer. A friend suggested I sell on the Etsy platform. I hesitated for a long time because I have problems with the English language. But I dared, and I was glad that it didn't cost anything, to begin with.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
Customers almost always come back to buy scarves for their children or themselves. And also, these cardigans are very popular. because my yarn is made of cashmere and merino wool. There are no synthetics. They are warm but light and soft.
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
The first sale came three months after registration. I must admit, I didn't really believe that they would notice me and buy my knitwear. After all, there are so many knitwear items on Etsy. My products are from the luxurious series because the yarn is also of high quality. But when people bought my knits, they kept coming back. They bought arm warmers as gifts, and I also had a company that ordered 90 pairs of arm warmers for their customers. Customers used to say that children wear only my knitted snoods and scarves. This was the impetus to move forward and get more colors to customers. I have my own Instagram where I show my knitting, but otherwise, people come back and recommend it to others.

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
Since I think that I am a small entrepreneur, I do all the processes myself. A man helps with packing. This is a family business that I protect and love immensely. So I am responsible for all processes and work.

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
Continue to provide quality products and expand the assortment. Also, I want to create product sets that customers can buy—a hat, a scarf, and arm warmers—with one click.
