How UnapologeticPeace got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
I opened my Etsy shop, Unapologetic Peaceful, because peace quite literally saved me. A few years back, I was going through one of the hardest seasons of my life. Meditation, journaling, and little spiritual practices became my lifelineâthey gave me clarity, hope, and a sense of calm when everything felt overwhelming.
I never planned to sell anything at first, but as I leaned into these practices, I realized how powerful they were. I wanted other people to have the same tools that helped me breathe easier and feel grounded. Thatâs how my shop started.
Most of the products come from things I personally use or create like journals for reflection, crystals for energy, or ritual kits for intention-setting. I hand-pick or hand-assemble items with the thought, Would this bring someone peace at the end of a busy day? If the answer is yes, then it belongs here.
This shop is also part of my bigger dream: building a legacy for my kids. They help with different parts of the businessâfrom design to marketingâbecause I want them to grow up with both skills and purpose. To me, Unapologetic Peaceful isnât just about selling products. Itâs about creating a little pocket of peace for anyone who needs it, just like I once did.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
Two of my absolute favorite items in my shop are the Seven Chakra Guided Journal and the Rainbow Adventures Childrenâs Journal.

The Seven Chakra Guided Journal is close to my heart because itâs rooted in the same practices that helped me heal and find balance. Itâs not just a notebookâit walks you through energy awareness, self-reflection, and gentle prompts that guide you toward peace and clarity. I love it because itâs like having a wellness companion in paper form.
The Rainbow Adventures Childrenâs Journal is just as special, but in a different way. I created it because I saw how much journaling and mindfulness could help children regulate their emotions, especially those coming from broken or stressful environments. It frames mindfulness as âbalancing super powers,â which makes kids excited to use it. Watching children build confidence and peace through this journal is incredibly rewarding.
Both journals are selling well because they connect to a real need. Adults are craving tools to slow down and care for themselves, and parents are looking for ways to introduce emotional wellness to their children. I think they resonate because theyâre not just productsâtheyâre bridges to a more peaceful life.
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
It took about three months after I really got serious about my shop to earn my first sale. At first, I treated Etsy more like a side project, but once I put intention into itâimproving my photos, writing better descriptions, and consistently sharing my productsâthatâs when things shifted.
Managing UnapologeticPeace
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
Right now, I manage most of the shop myself, but I do involve my kids in different parts of the process because I want them to learn skills and see what it takes to run a business. My son helps with media and visuals, my daughter keeps me organized with bookkeeping, and my youngest jumps in with research and creative ideas. Itâs truly a family effort.
To keep things running smoothly, I lean on a few tools. I use Canva for product images and marketing graphics, Pinterest and Instagram to share content and connect with customers, and Etsyâs built-in analytics to understand whatâs working. For scheduling social media posts, I use Tailwind, which saves me so much time.
Shipping and fulfillment are handled directly by me. I package every order with care because I want customers to feel that peaceful energy the moment they open their box. I use Etsyâs shipping labels, which makes the process simple, and I add little touches like affirmation cards or thank-you notes to remind customers that theyâre not just getting a productâtheyâre receiving an experience.
The future of UnapologeticPeace
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
My next milestone is to reach a steady $5,000 in monthly sales while staying true to timeless basicsâquality materials, careful workmanship, and attentive customer care.
To get there, Iâm focusing on:
- Consistent inventory & seasonal launches: a fresh mini-collection each quarter and restocks you can count on.
- Customer experience: fast, reliable shipping (1â2 business days), thoughtful packaging, and a 4.9â
+ shop rating goal.
- Repeat love: bundles, gift sets, and a simple loyalty rhythm to grow repeat customers to 25â30% of monthly orders.
- Smart discoverability: clearer photos, stronger listings, and SEO so shoppers find exactly what theyâre looking for.
- Select wholesale & local partnerships: a few values-aligned boutiques to extend reach without losing the personal touch.
Steady growth, classic service, and products made with care and thatâs the path forward.
Advice for new sellers
Whatâs your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?
My biggest advice for new sellers is to start with intention and patience. Donât get discouraged if sales donât happen right away. It took me months before things started moving, and that was after I really focused on my shop. Use that time to polish your photos, write descriptions that sound like you, and make sure your brand feels consistent.
Also, remember that Etsy isnât just about selling products, itâs about sharing a story. Customers want to know the heart behind what you create. When you let people see why your items matter to you, theyâre more likely to connect and buy.
And finally, donât be afraid to experiment. Try different products, test out marketing on Instagram or Pinterest, and learn from what works. Growth comes little by little, but every small step is building something bigger.
