How OnceUponAPix got started

Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

OnceUponAPix specializes in whimsical photography backgrounds and elements for photographers and hobbyists to save time when creating fun and imaginative composite art. In 2017, I participated in a free Self Reliance Small Business class presented by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which focused on using our unique skills to provide a service or product for others to increase our household incomes. I recognized Etsy as the perfect platform for my digital products.

Favorite items

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

My 50 packs are my favorites because they contain so many editing possibilities and combinations. People seem to love the superhero and Christmas-themed packs the most.

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

My first sale happened pretty quickly, but it definitely took some time to build up in the Etsy algorithm. Now I get a lot of repeat customers, and my SEO and Etsy marketing help me get new ones.

Managing OnceUponAPix

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?

I manage my shop by myself; however, I have a good professional support network that helps with giving feedback.

The future of OnceUponAPix

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?

My goals for my shop include growing in product and revenue each year.
