How MyDigiPlan got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
Hello, my name is Bojana Vasiljević and I live in Serbia. I have been a graphic designer for almost 20 years and I love my job. During the period when I gave birth and gave birth to a girl, it was impossible to find a job, even as a freelancer, because I could not promise clients that I would be present at all times when they needed me. When I heard about Etsy, I did some research and decided to start making printable stickers for planners. It was fun and still is. After a couple of years spent creating planner stickers, I wanted to expand my shop and started to create digital planners. I created the first digital planner for me and it helped me a lot to stay organized and keep track of everything that is important to me (personal and business things).
I have complete freedom to make whatever I want, and I could devote myself to my family. I love that feeling when I wake up and see orders on my phone.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
My favorite product is the Digital Law of Attraction Planner, which I created for my own needs and thought someone else might like it. It is a relatively new product, but it is slowly starting to get its customers and for now, I am satisfied with its sales. The competition for this type of planner is not too big, so I think that will start to sell much more soon.
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
It didn't take long from the time I opened my shop to my first sale. It did seem like a long time at the time, but now that I look back, 2 weeks isn't much. Etsy was also much different back then and it was easier to show up in searches. Today, I use social networks much more for promotion.
Managing MyDigiPlan
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I manage the shop myself and luckily the products are digital so I don't have to send them, in that case, I think I would need help. When I post listings I use various tools that help me with tags and titles, I often use the Etsy search bar. But also eRank, Alura, Marmalead anything that can help me choose the right words.
The future of MyDigiPlan
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
In terms of goals, right now I'm focused on promoting the product on social media, and right now I'm working more on that than creating because right now I think I have enough listings in the store. I am working on a YouTube channel where I will present my listings. I hope that by the end of the year I will be able to realize it.
