How MojoMugs1 got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
Welcome To My Etsy Shop, Mojo Mugs! What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into a passion project. I’ve always had an eye for design and a love for bold, expressive visuals—especially those that bring joy or spark conversation. That energy naturally found its way into mugs: a simple, everyday item that can reflect personality, good vibes, and a little mojo!
I began selling on Etsy as a way to connect that creative spark with others who appreciate unique, quality products. Each mug design is something I craft with intention. I focus on quality digital artwork, playful or aesthetic concepts, and on-trend styles that fit both gifting and personal use. The production is handled through a trusted print-on-demand partner, so every item is made-to-order with care, ensuring consistent quality and fast shipping.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
Some of my favorite items in the shop are the ones that blend meaningful design with a daily dose of inspiration or joy. Here are three that stand out:

MugThis one has become a go-to for morning motivation. I love how the clean design and uplifting message can shift someone’s mindset with just one sip. It’s especially popular as a gift—people love sharing positivity, and this mug makes it easy to do just that.

Dreamers and stargazers love this one. The cosmic design makes it feel like you’re carrying a little piece of the night sky wherever you go. It’s been getting strong traction, especially among those who want something both aesthetic and practical.

This is a personal favorite because of the vibe it brings—it’s like a vacation in mug form. The soft sunset tones and beachy mood make it a hit with anyone who craves a moment of calm or coastal nostalgia during their day.
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
It took six months to make my first sale—and while it felt like a long wait, I never lost sight of why I started. I genuinely enjoy the creative process: coming up with new designs, learning how to improve my listings, and building a brand that reflects who I am. That first sale was a small milestone, but a huge motivator. It reminded me that patience pays off and that every great shop starts somewhere.
Right now, I attract customers through a mix of strategy and authenticity. I focus on creating eye-catching designs that spark emotion. I also take time to write clear, SEO-friendly titles and descriptions, and I use strong keywords and tags to help my listings show up in Etsy search and use Alura to gather inspiration from other shops! Outside of Etsy, I’m gradually building my presence through social media and other content to reach more people and invite them into the vibe of my shop.
I truly believe that big sales will come with consistency and intention. Opportunities like this one—where I get to share my story—are part of that journey, and I’m grateful for every step along the way.

The future of MojoMugs1
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
I want to expand my collection with even more designs that resonate emotionally, while keeping the shop fresh and aligned with my creative vision. I also plan to improve my branding and product photography, experiment with seasonal collections, and eventually add new product types beyond mugs. Most importantly, I’m focused on building a loyal customer base that connects with the energy and message behind each item.
Advice for new sellers
What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?
For new sellers, my biggest piece of advice is: stay patient and stay consistent. It can take time to see traction, and that’s completely normal. Use that time to learn, experiment, and fine-tune your shop. Focus on making products you’re proud of, write strong titles and descriptions, research your keywords, and take every opportunity to improve your visibility—on Etsy and beyond. Also, remember to enjoy the creative process. When your passion shows through your work, customers feel it. Trust the process, celebrate the small wins, and keep showing up. That’s how momentum builds.
