Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
Hi, my Etsy shop name is Michelle Tracey Art. I sell original ocean resin art, abstract art, visionary art, fantasy art, prints, adult coloring books and pages, face masks, and tattoos. The first item I listed on Etsy was an adult coloring page (digital download). Etsy was a better choice than an e-commerce store on my website due to Etsy's excellent market and ease of use. After experiencing success, I decided to list everything I made! I make everything by hand and partner with a drop shipper to manufacture and ship reproduction art prints and face masks to customers.

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
Some of my favorite items listed in my shop are my "Ocean Resin Art," "Spirit & Fantasy Grayscale Coloring Book," and my newly listed "Visionary Art." Ocean resin art is popular because, being 3D, it is like taking a piece of the ocean home with you and hanging it on the wall. My Spirit & Fantasy Grayscale Coloring Book is popular with the coloring community because it's uplifting and a thrill to color over an actual painting, witnessing it come to life! Just listed is my new visionary art, and I am excited to share it on Etsy! I love creating them because I rely on intuition to create high-vibrational spiritual paintings.
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
I earned my first sale within a day of listing it on Etsy. I drive traffic to my Etsy shop via Instagram by using the call to action "link in bio" in my posts. The link in the bio is to my LinkTree account with an Etsy button. Instagram stories with a link sticker posting links to my Etsy items via my Facebook coloring group and including my Etsy shop link in the description of my Youtube videos. New newsletter subscribers will receive free coloring pages as well as a discount on my Etsy shop. Anywhere I can post it without being spammy, I will!

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I manage my shop myself. I love to use the Canvy Room app to create cover photos for my artwork in Photoshop. For paintings, I use My Post Business, Australia Post, and Transdirect Couriers so I can stay in the house, especially for large paintings that don't fit into my car! I partner with a drop-shipping company that manufactures, fulfills, and ships my art prints.

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?
My advice is to always take professional photos. Take SEO seriously. Name images with relevant searchable keywords, and include keywords in the listing title and first description line. It goes without saying that you should deliver excellent customer service, be friendly, and be transparent. Play the Etsy shop link wherever you can!
