How LittleLovesxo got started

Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

Littlelovesxo was born in July 2017. At this time, it was just a small vision of wanting to make a business for myself and my end goal was to be my own boss! I began selling gemstone jewelry, sourcing gemstones from all over the world, keeping it reasonably priced so I could keep the cost affordable for my customers.

Favorite items

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

I started crafting pride jewelry. This was mainly on waxed cotton cord, but since then it has had various upgrades-brazilian waxed cord and silver plated beads! My Pride collection was, and still is, our best seller. It helps people so much to have jewelry that they love just as much as we do!

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

I will always remember my first sale. It was my mum. I had been on Etsy for a few days when I heard the "ker-ching" — it was my mum purchasing a bracelet. The gift message was “to my lovely daughter” - this will forever be the most memorable order. I try my best to be active on social media. I’m over on Instagram, Facebook, and currently TikTok!

Managing LittleLovesxo

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?

There is just me. I make, pack, and dispatch all your orders. Sometimes, during my busy months, my husband jumps in and makes and packs all the keyrings so I can focus on the other jewelry!

The future of LittleLovesxo

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?

I’d love to go viral. I’ve never really had that moment yet... hopefully soon!

Advice for new sellers

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?

Stick with it. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Also, market yourself! Being a small business is sometimes challenging because you don’t have huge billboards or TV ads. You need to put yourself out there!
