How LinenByWaB got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
My Etsy shop, LinenByWab, was born out of my love for natural fabrics and timeless, handmade fashion. I’ve always been drawn to linen for its beauty, sustainability, and the way it feels both elegant and effortless. At first, I started sewing pieces just for myself and my family. Later, I discovered Etsy and realized that there is a wonderful community of people who share the same appreciation for slow fashion and natural style.Opening an Etsy shop felt like the perfect way to connect with people all around the world who value unique, handcrafted clothing. I decided to focus on dresses and pieces made from linen because they combine comfort with style and can be worn in so many different ways. Every product in my shop is either designed and handmade by me or carefully sourced to meet the same standards of quality and sustainability that I personally believe in. For me, it’s not just about selling clothes—it’s about creating garments that make people feel beautiful, confident, and connected to something natural and lasting.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
One of my favorite items in the shop is the Breathable Cotton Maternity Muslin Wrap Dress -

I love it because it combines comfort and elegance – it’s lightweight, soft, and breathable, which makes it perfect for maternity wear, but also stylish enough to be worn beyond pregnancy. I appreciated this dress even more during this time because I was pregnant myself, so I could truly experience how practical and beautiful it is. It reflects my goal of creating timeless, versatile pieces that women can genuinely enjoy and feel good in. Another favorite is the Red Christmas Pinafore Baby Dress -

This piece is very close to my heart because it brings together tradition, festivity, and a sense of family celebration. The pattern is timeless and festive, making it a perfect outfit for little ones during the holiday season. Both of these items are loved by my customers as well – the maternity wrap dress because it’s practical, flattering, and sustainable, and the baby pinafore because it captures the spirit of Christmas in a sweet, handmade way. I think they resonate so well because they are not just garments, but meaningful pieces that highlight comfort, joy, and special life moments.
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
I made my first sale relatively quickly after opening my Etsy shop, which was very encouraging and gave me confidence to continue growing my brand. To attract customers, I focus on several key strategies. First, I make sure my listings are optimized for Etsy search with clear titles, detailed descriptions, and high-quality photos that showcase the products in a natural and appealing way. I also use social media, especially Instagram and Pinterest, to share styling ideas, behind-the-scenes moments, and new product launches. Additionally, I pay attention to seasonal trends and popular occasions, like maternity wear or holiday outfits, to ensure my products reach the right audience at the right time. Most importantly, I aim to create a personal connection with customers through thoughtful packaging, fast communication, and small touches that make shopping from LinenByWab a memorable experience.
Managing LinenByWaB
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I manage LinenByWab mostly on my own, with a lot of support from my husband, which allows me to stay deeply involved in every step of the process—from designing and creating the products to listing them on Etsy and packaging orders. To stay organized, I use a few helpful tools and apps. For example, I use Etsy’s built-in shop manager to track orders, inventory, and messages, and I also rely on spreadsheet trackers for planning production and keeping an eye on seasonal stock. Social media scheduling tools help me plan posts for Instagram and Pinterest, so I can consistently share new products and styling ideas with my audience.
Shipping and fulfillment are something I see as an area for improvement. Since every item is and made and created to order, delivery times are a bit longer, and I always try to communicate this clearly to my customers. Each piece is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives in perfect condition, and I use reliable postal services with tracking to give buyers peace of mind. With my husband’s help, I’m always looking for ways to make the shipping experience smoother while maintaining the personal, handmade quality that makes LinenByWab special.
The future of LinenByWaB
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
My main goal is to continue growing while staying true to the values that inspired me to start the shop: handmade, sustainable, and timeless clothing. I hope to expand my range of products, perhaps introducing new designs and styles that complement the current collection, while maintaining high-quality materials and craftsmanship. Ultimately, my goal is to reach more people who appreciate slow fashion and natural fabrics, building a loyal community of customers who feel a personal connection to the pieces they purchase.
Advice for new sellers
What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?
My advice for anyone starting an Etsy shop is to be patient, stay consistent, and focus on quality. It can take time to make your first sale, so don’t get discouraged if things don’t happen immediately. Invest time in creating high-quality photos and detailed, clear product descriptions, because these make a big difference in attracting customers.
Engaging with customers, responding promptly to messages, and creating a pleasant shopping experience will help build trust and loyalty. Finally, don’t be afraid to experiment with social media promotion, seasonal collections, or new product ideas; learning and adapting along the way is part of the journey. Most importantly, enjoy the process! When you’re passionate about what you create, it shows in your products and resonates with buyers.
