How JWuMoments got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
Carving stamps is one of my hobbies. I built up a small fan base that enjoyed my artistic style. They showed interest in buying the stamps that I designed, and I thought, why not? This is a chance to share my work with people who have the same hobbies and turn that hobby into a small business. It started in 2018 when I designed and copyrighted my first stamp designs. I planned to sell wax seal stamps, rubber stamps, and ex libris stickers, all from my original designs. Currently I only offer wax seal stamps, but I hope to offer more in time.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
Hummingbird Wax Seal Stamp is one of my favorite items. Hummingbirds are seen as messengers of the heart. This design is very detailed.

Wax Seal Stamp with Mushrooms I like this design; the mushrooms look like they are dancing.

Stamped Rabbit Wax Seal This little guy is very cute. It is oval-shaped and a wonderful addition to a round stamp collection.

Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
It took me a few months to get my first sale. I do a lot of SEO and post on Instagram to attract attention to my shop.
Managing JWuMoments
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I run the shop by myself. I create the designs for the products and packaging. I take photos of the products, edit the photos, and manage my shop and online presence. I handle shipping via USPS and any customer service needs. I am a one-woman shop, doing what I love! Counterfeit copies of my designs cause a lot of problems for me. My original designs are protected by copyright. I am constantly reporting counterfeits for copyright infringements. My loyal fan base helps I will assist you in detecting and reporting counterfeits. And to stay one step ahead of them, I continuously create new designs. I realized that others may face the same problems I run into when creating wax seal stamps. How to Seal stamps should be cleaned. After endless searches and not finding a suitable way, I began experimenting with different methods. I found a simple way to clean and care for the wax seal stamps. I created an illustration card of this that I include with every order.
I also include a few wax beads with every order as a gift. I want my customers to have a chance to experience their new wax seal stamps as soon as they receive them. It would be such a letdown to receive a new wax seal stamp, only to not have any wax to use it with. I use "eRank" for keyword research and "Vela" for bulk product attribute editing.I ship using I have found USPS to be the most cost-effective shipping method for me. After I finish an order For shipping, my husband will frequently take the packages to the local post office for me the next day. He is my best helper!
The future of JWuMoments
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
I wish I had more time to design Ex Libris stickers and rubber stamps to sell in my store. One day I hope to open a small brick-and-mortar shop where people can come in and see my artwork in person.
