How IDREWTHISHOP got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
I sell greeting cards and products featuring my unique, colorful style. I began my shop back in 2011. It took a while to pick up, but I did so by growing my offering and sourcing and adding new products along the way.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
I love my tea towels. They are made of a lovely cotton drill and are easy to send.
My calendars are new and already selling well in the run up to Christmas.
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
Oh wow, I can’t remember my first sale but I know I was excited. At the moment, I take part in as many sales as I can and I use Instagram to link people to my Etsy shop.
Managing IDREWTHISHOP
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I have one person who helps support me with my shops, and I also keep an eye on the stock levels. I have a warehouse that fulfills all my orders.
The future of IDREWTHISHOP
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
I just want to add more designs and products, but at the moment I am focusing on the top sellers.
Advice for new sellers
What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?
Get good photography done and dedicate lots of time to adding the products with good SEO.
