How ForgetMeNotNature got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
My Etsy shop sells home decor with real dried flowers. I pick these flowers myself in the field, forest, or mountains. Some of the flowers my family grows in the garden, and some that I buy at the store. All flowers are dried, and then flower arrangements are made of glass using the Tiffany stained glass technique. In 2018, having worked for almost 7 years in the office as an accountant, I realized that I didn’t see my path that way; I was bored in this profession, and I wanted creativity and freedom. In August of the same year, I came across frames in Tiffany's technical room on the Internet. It was love at first sight. Within a week, I purchased the necessary materials, dried the flowers, and began to study the technique. I visited Etsy in January of 2019. Sales started in 10 days. I create all the products on Etsy myself.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
A buttercup arrangement was my very first item sold and my top seller in 2019.It is very bright and minimalist.

My favorite products are compositions with the most extraordinary colors:

Since I myself, in my childhood, walked a lot in nature in forests and fields and often saw these plants, These products also sell well; I think this is due to the unique design (I came up with it myself from the heart) and bright colors, and everyone loves them in any form: bouquets, dried flowers, flower paintings, etc. When laying out goods on Etsy, these goods can be bought in the very first days, and then the algorithm itself brings them to the top due to sales.
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
The first sale took place 10 days after the store's establishment. The next day came the second sale. I was incredibly happy. I think the right keywords and a bright photo contributed to this. Further, for several months, sales were rather sluggish, and although they grew every month, there were no sales for several weeks. As I later realized, I just had a small amount of traffic to the store and needed to work with it. I started to increase the tariff by working on the product and expanding the range.
Managing ForgetMeNotNature
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I work on the store myself, and my team helps me create the goods. They create frames and pack them according to my instructions. I use Erank, Alura, Etsypulse, Google, and Ubersuggest. These services help me find and analyze keywords, analyze competitors, and track the positions of goods on Etsy. At the moment, I attract new sales through several actions:
- Keyword analysis using various services applying keywords that buyers are looking for in my niche.
- Monthly analysis of keywords, number of visits to products, and successful and slow listings Listings with few views are deleted and replaced with new ones.
- analysis of competitors using the Alura service.
- Increasing the assortment of the store, I have goods for every taste: bright and minimalist designs, green ferns and eucalyptus trees, beige shades, wall sets, and small frames. The price range is also varied, from low prices that the buyer can purchase as a small present, as well as large sets on the wall to decorate houses. us.
The future of ForgetMeNotNature
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
For 2023, I want to increase the assortment. Add different frames with new colors, offer to create compositions with flowers according to the month of birth, and also introduce new items of home decor: concrete coasters, candles, stained-glass windows, and caskets. New keywords will bring more people to my store. I also want to increase traffic and, accordingly, revenue and profit.
Advice for new sellers
What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?
The most important thing is to choose the product that buyers want to buy. The most important thing is threefold: so that your product is in demand, buyers can find it among millions of competitors, and they want to buy it when they see it.
- Analyze competitors' products (price, discounts, photos, number of sales, are there any leaders) and identify any trends before opening a store. You can do this simply by searching for Etsy; Alura also helps with this.
- In order for your product to be found, you need to put down the right keywords and analyze them. There are many services available to help you do this.
- In order for your product to be on the first pages, you need the buyer to want to buy it, and the photo and price must match.
There is no need to be upset if there are no sales the first time or if they are very sluggish; daily work on Etsy stores will definitely bring results. Now my sales are already going on a daily basis, but I also continue to work on the store.
Some sellers really get inspired by hearing numbers. Feel free to share these if you like.
