How FloAtelier got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
FloAtelier has been working for the past 30 years, to create unique and individual designer clothing.
We are based in Sofia, Bulgaria and we have worked with people since the day we started. It’s because of our loyal customers that we got the chance to showcase our products worldwide here in Etsy. We work with each customer individually.
Our atelier’s philosophy is based on hand crafted garments of the highest quality and our zero waste set of principles. We believe that hand making and slow fashion are important for the future of fashion and when supporting us, you do as well local craftsmen, sellers and designers.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
We love simple and asymmetrical silhouettes, classy and casual styles, but our best and favorite items in the shop are our bestsellers. Here is a skirt which everybody loves:

It is modern and chic and when we customize it by our customer’s measurements and requirements it becomes a total masterpiece.
Linen is one of our favorite materials to work with and we are very flexible with this natural material. We offer a lot of colors and patterns and we can find almost every shade out there!
Some of our best items in linen are these total bestsellers:

Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
Back in 2014, it took us 2-3 days to make our first sale, but today it's more competitive. Because of that, it's harder to start selling that fast. Our history and loyal customers work in our favor to attract new customers
Managing FloAtelier
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
Our shop was initially a family business, but at this time, we need more people to manage it. We have our shop managers - for marketing and the other for customer service and orders. We sometimes work with some freelancers to test some different tools and apps (keywords, SEO tools). There are many apps that help us monitor our results and position us correctly. Our processing time is 1-3 weeks, as we purchase each fabric for each order and we are making everything by hand, we offer different shipping options.
The future of FloAtelier
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
We are in the process of renovating our store to show some new items and collections. We fully follow the new trends for an honest business model.
We have zero waste and we work by hand. We follow all norms to move forward to success honestly and sustainably.
We believe that in this way, the future of our clients, the people and partners we work with, as well as our own, will be better!
