How diystencilca got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
Hi, my name is Archie and we started selling on Etsy in 2017, I saw a few people are selling stencils and they are making good sales - so I thought I should give it a try as I love designing stuff in AI. My Idea was to provide custom stencils, iron-ons and vinyl products as custom products have really good demand, and it's hard to find someone who makes custom products at a reasonable price.
Favorite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
Our top sellers are custom cookie stencils and coffee stencils. They sell really well because people like to make custom cookies and coffee on special days of the year. Many of my customers own bakeries and make custom cookies for their clients!
Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
Sale was very quick - the first month I made $300 after all expenses . Which gave me a little boost to add more and more products. Currently, I have many different sales on my shop:
Free shipping over $35
50% off on some products
70% off on face mask
20% off on beads and mica powders
Every month, I have a few different items on sale to attract customers to my shop!
Managing diystencilca
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
Me and my husband manage the store, we use netParcel and Stallion Express as our shipping partner - all our shipments are picked up by our shipping partners on a daily basis.
The future of diystencilca
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
Our current goal is to provide our customers with more and more craft supplies and make our products available on different platforms (i.e. Amazon, eBay, Wish, Etsy, Shopify).
