How Buzzoutwear got started
Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?
Hi, my name is Vlado. I started a few years ago as a rookie in the design world. So many options, and so many possibilities, and me learning something brand new. Well, I guess if I can do it, anyone can.
Favourite items
What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?
Mainly, my favourite designs are the last ones I've created, as they are the ones I’ve put the most effort into. Now I am working for the upcoming Father’s Day, and I’ve created some matching dad-baby items which are adorable. I’ve gifted it to some of my friends, and all of them loved it. I guess matching items sell best because people love that, especially when they have kids.

Getting sales on Etsy
How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?
It took me about a month and a half after opening my shop to make my first sale. I opened in March, and then I guess I was lucky or had good timing, because in late May the sales started for Father’s Day.
Managing Buzzoutwear
How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?
I manage my shop myself, and during the holiday season, I have a friend helping me. I use Pinterest for advertising.
The future of Buzzoutwear
What goals do you have for your shop in the future?
My goal is to attract more families into the matching world of t-shirts.
Advice for new sellers
What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?
I think that when you start your shop, you should really consider what customers you want to attract and which holidays your items will sell the most during. This way, you won’t need to wait for months or years to sell something.
Some sellers really get inspired by hearing numbers. Feel free to share these if you like.
Question: What is your shop’s conversion rate?
Answer: 2.9%
