How BMY Presets got started

Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

Hello, my name is Sara and I am the owner of BMYpresets.

Every time I went on Instagram, it caught my attention how bloggers, influencers, and photographers would always have their feeds look visually pleasing.

I always wanted my Instagram photos to look really good, so I started using Adobe Lightroom to create my own presets and thought it was a good idea to sell them on Etsy to help others to edit their photos in a small amount of time.

Favorite items

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

I really enjoy creating new packs of presets each week. There are many presets in my store that I use for my own social media.

Some of my favorites are the Almond, Selfie, and Beauty Mobile Presets. They bring out the soft, warm, and natural tones and are some of my best-selling presets.

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

I was really lucky and had my very first sale the very next day after opening my shop. It was an amazing experience and  keeps you motivated.

Etsy is a competitive platform and you need to be unique to attract customers. I am always updating my descriptions, photos, and SEO so my listings can be seen on the first top pages to attract more customers.

Social Media has helped me in so many ways. I like using Pinterest, Instagram & Facebook to market my presets. I always upload After/Before photos using my presets so customers can see the differences between the unedited photos with the edited ones.

Managing BMY Presets

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?

I handle customer service, marketing, and listings on my own.

Pinterest, Instagram, and the Etsy Seller app help me run my business every day. Answering questions that customers might have and market my presets through social media.

Since presets are digital products, no shipping or fulfillment is necessary. Customers have access to the preset files at the moment the payment is done.

The future of BMY Presets

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?

As my business has been growing fast, I would like to expand and set up my website to have greater exposure to my products and to gain more brand awareness. It is important for me that my customers connect, trust and remember my brand.
