How Bear Foot Farms LLC got started

Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

We started selling a few items at a time and added more weekly as we learned how to use the site. We grow our own products so it was easy to know what we would have available and could adjust our production based on what was selling.

Favorite items

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

We love selling our BFF Exclusives such as the Rex Begonia - Pinstripe and the Rex Begonia - Purple Rain,  because they are our own genetics and are exclusively sold through us!

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

We earned our first sale within a couple of days after going live. We currently attract customers to our site via social media and a great selection of unique items as well as old time favorites.

Managing Bear Foot Farms LLC

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?

It is a family shop; Mom, Dad and daughter.

We all have full time jobs besides our Etsy shop so it takes all of us to get things done.  We have two shipping days per week where we all help out to get orders packed up and to the post office.

The future of Bear Foot Farms LLC

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?

Our goals for our shop are to continue to provide a superior product for our customers, perfect our packing process, provide a positive customer experience, and continue to grow our business.

Advice for new sellers

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?

Find your niche and stand out!  If you are doing the same thing as 100 other people you need to have something that grabs their attention or a different product.

Also - watch fees and costs as they are different based on where the customers are being directed.
