How ArtsCraftsLearning got started

Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

Hi, my name is Sandy, and I’m the owner of kidsplr.com and ArtsCraftsLearning, an Etsy shop that was born out of a real need I experienced daily as a daycare provider. Like many in early childhood education, I constantly searched for high-quality, engaging, and affordable learning materials on marketplaces like Etsy, Teachers Pay Teachers, and Gumroad. It became a routine, but it was expensive, time-consuming, and sometimes frustrating when the materials didn’t meet the needs of my kids.

That’s when it hit me: what if I created a shop that sold thoughtfully curated bundles of early learning materials that were not only educational but also budget-friendly and instantly accessible?

I opened ArtsCraftsLearning to do just that. At first, I focused on selling kids’ learning printables like activity books, worksheets, and classroom games. The positive response was incredible. Parents and educators appreciated having access to high-quality resources that saved them time and money.

Then I took it one step further.

I began creating and sourcing PLR (Private Label Rights) and MRR (Master Resell Rights) digital products designed specifically for early learning. These are ready-made products that customers can modify, rebrand, and resell to generate a side income. As someone who used to buy PLR materials myself, I knew how valuable they were, so I built a collection that made it easy for others to start or grow their own digital product business.

Today, the shop includes a growing library of editable Canva-based products like quizzes, printable games, and educational videos. I either design these products myself or collaborate with a small network of creators who specialize in original PLR-MRR content. Most of my digital products are designed to be rebranded, customized, and sold again, helping busy parents, teachers, and entrepreneurs build income streams without starting from scratch.

What started as a solution to my problem has turned into a business that empowers others, and that’s what keeps me excited to show up every day.

Favorite items

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

Some of my absolute favorite products in the shop are the early learning mega bundles. They really reflect why I started ArtsCraftsLearning in the first place—to give parents, teachers, and entrepreneurs access to high-quality digital learning tools that are easy to use and incredibly affordable.

One of my top favorites is the Little Genius Spark Bundle. It includes a wide variety of learning activities for different ages, and what makes it extra special is that everything comes with Private Label Rights (PLR) and Master Resell Rights (MRR). That means customers can use the content themselves or rebrand and sell it. It’s a great all-in-one solution for parents and teachers who want to help kids learn—and for entrepreneurs looking to create a passive income stream.

Another favorite is the Smart Kids Games, Quizzes & Video Templates Bundle. This one includes over 100 fully editable Canva templates for kids quizzes and games. Everything is already designed and ready to go, so all you have to do is tweak it to fit your brand and resell it. I love this product because of the sheer value—it’s fun, educational, and it gives people a head start in building their own product line.

A recent favorite of mine is the Kids Viral Videos Bundle, which has been a huge hit. This bundle includes thousands of craft video ideas for kids, with done-for-you video content that shows how to complete each craft. As a daycare provider, I’m constantly looking for new and exciting activities for my kiddos, and this bundle has saved me so much time and effort. What makes it even better is that it comes with PLR and MRR, so others can use, rebrand, and sell the videos themselves.

I’m also really proud of the collection of Canva-based games, quizzes, and video templates in the shop. These are super flexible, easy to edit, and great for creating personalized educational content or building out your own shop inventory.

These products are among my best sellers because:

They offer extreme value—each bundle is packed with content that’s ready to use or resell

They save time for educators, creators, and business owners

Each product includes Unique Value Propositions (UVPs) on the main listing image, which makes them stand out and helps convert views into sales across platforms like Etsy, Gumroad, and Shopify

All of these favorites have something in common: they’re designed to help people learn, create, and earn—whether you're teaching a child or launching a business.

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale, and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

I opened my Etsy shop, ArtsCraftsLearning, in March of 2024, and I started getting sales in the days and weeks that followed. It didn’t happen instantly, but I had done a lot of research ahead of time and was determined to stand out in a competitive marketplace.

One of the biggest things that helped me early on was creating unique value propositions for each product. I made sure those UVPs were clearly shown on the main listing images so that shoppers could immediately understand what made my products different. I also leaned heavily into using colorful, eye-catching visuals, many of which were created with AI tools. In fact, after several customers asked me how I created my images, I ended up writing an entire eBook:

Another game changer for me was following Etsy’s recommendations to the letter. I made sure every listing had all 10 image slots filled, added videos wherever possible, and used specific keywords in my titles, descriptions, and tags. I actually used ChatGPT to help generate SEO-optimized copy for each listing. With the right prompts, that alone dramatically boosted visibility and helped attract the right buyers.

Today, I attract customers in a few key ways:

I run Etsy ads and turn on off-site ads to help increase visibility.
I offer strategic sales and discounts because many buyers expect deals when it comes to digital products, and not offering them can mean missed opportunities.
I take full advantage of Etsy’s built-in email tools, sending out abandoned cart reminders, thank you notes, and special offers to keep customers engaged.
I also connected my Etsy shop to Pinterest, and I regularly share my products there to drive additional traffic.
It’s a mix of strategic setup, visual appeal, and smart marketing. I didn’t just list products—I built a system that helps buyers discover them, understand their value, and feel confident making a purchase.

Managing ArtsCraftsLearning

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?

I run my Etsy shop entirely on my own, and as a full-time daycare provider, it’s definitely a balancing act. I don’t have the flexibility to work on the shop during the day, so almost everything happens in the evenings and on weekends. I typically dedicate about 3 to 5 hours each day, seven days a week, to keep things running smoothly.

Managing a successful Etsy shop takes real commitment and consistency. A big part of my time is spent not just listing products, but also helping customers answering questions, troubleshooting download issues, or offering guidance on how to use Canva to modify their templates. That kind of support has helped me maintain a high review rating, which I believe is absolutely vital to success on Etsy. Etsy tends to reward shops that consistently receive great reviews, so providing strong customer service is just as important as creating great products.

For me, repeat customers have become the backbone of the business. They come back because they know the quality of what they’re getting, and they know I’ll be there if they need help. I try to treat every buyer like a long-term client, not a one-time sale.

In terms of tools and technology, I use a full suite of digital tools to keep everything organized, efficient, and scalable:

Canva Pro – for designing templates, workbooks, and marketing graphics

ChatGPT Plus – for creating optimized listing descriptions, titles, and tags

Midjourney – to generate unique and creative images for listings

Capcut and inVideo – for editing and creating product videos and previews

Eleven Labs – for creating high-quality voiceovers and audio-based products

Dropbox – to store and organize my digital product files for easy access and delivery

Alura.io – as a research and product development tool to study the marketplace, analyze trends, and generate ideas that align with current demand

I also sell through my Shopify store to give my customers more flexibility, especially for larger bundles and collections that are easier to manage than on Etsy.

Since all of my products are digital, there’s no physical shipping or fulfillment involved, which saves a lot of time. Etsy handles the delivery automatically once a purchase is made, and for larger or more complex digital files, I’ll sometimes send a Dropbox link directly to the customer. That makes the process smooth for both sides and allows me to focus more on creating and supporting.

It’s not always easy to juggle, but when you build a system that works and truly care about your customers, it becomes incredibly rewarding.

The future of ArtsCraftsLearning

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?

I have some exciting goals lined up for the future of my shop. One of my biggest priorities is to create an in-depth course that teaches others how to create, source, and sell kids PLR products on Etsy and other marketplaces. Over the past year, I’ve developed a repeatable strategy that’s helped me grow my shop from scratch, and I’d love to break that down step-by-step so others can follow the same path. There’s a real demand for this kind of guidance, especially among people who want to build a side income but aren’t sure where to start.

Another major goal for 2025 is to add at least 100 new products to my shop. I want to keep expanding the library with fresh, high-quality resources—especially editable bundles and resellable content that saves people time and helps them earn more with less effort.

Lastly, I’m working on building a complete sales funnel for lead generation and email marketing. I want to create a more structured path to connect with my audience beyond Etsy—whether it’s offering freebie lead magnets, exclusive deals, or helpful content that supports customers long after their first purchase. Email is such a powerful tool, and using it to deliver ongoing value and build customer loyalty is a big focus moving forward.

These goals all come back to the same core idea - creating useful, affordable tools that help parents, teachers, and entrepreneurs succeed. whether that’s in the classroom or in their own digital business.

Advice for new sellers

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?

If you’re thinking about starting an Etsy shop to sell digital products, especially in the kids’ education or PLR space, I totally get how overwhelming it can feel at first. When I launched ArtsCraftsLearning, I had no idea what to expect. But over the past year, I’ve learned a lot about what works, what doesn’t, and how to grow a shop even when you’re balancing a full-time job. These are five things that truly made a difference for me and if you’re just getting started, I hope they help you too.

1. Start with what you know

For me, that was early learning. As a daycare provider, I was constantly buying educational resources, and it just made sense to start creating my own. If you're thinking about selling digital products, choose a niche you understand or care deeply about. It makes creating so much easier, and your passion really shows in your products.

2. Make your listings stand out

One of the things that helped my shop take off was adding unique value propositions right on the main listing images. You only have a second to catch someone’s attention on Etsy, so use that space to tell people what makes your product special. Bright, clear, colorful visuals help tooI use AI tools to make mine pop, and customers often tell me that’s what pulled them in.

3. Take customer service seriously

A lot of my time is spent helping buyers with things like downloading files or editing in Canva. And honestly, that support has made a big difference. Many of my customers are repeat buyers because they know they’ll get help if they need it. If you want to grow your shop long-term, building that trust is key.

4. Use tools that make your life easier

I don’t have time to reinvent the wheel every day. Tools like Canva Pro, ChatGPT, Midjourney, inVideo, Capcut, Eleven Labs, Dropbox, and Allura.io help me design, organize, and research faster. If you’re juggling a business alongside a full-time job like I am, having the right tools is everything.

5. Don’t just list and hope—optimize

When I started using ChatGPT to write SEO-friendly titles, descriptions, and tags, I saw a major difference in traffic. I also make sure every listing has 10 images, a video, and clearly shows what buyers are getting. I’m also working on building a full sales funnel to collect emails and stay connected with my audience beyond Etsy. That’s the next level.

Some sellers really get inspired by hearing numbers. Feel free to share these if you like.
