How AnnaEmbDesign got started

Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

Hello, my name is Anna, and I am a designer and owner of a machine embroidery shop called AnnaEmbDesign. I’ve been developing and selling machine embroidery designs since 2016. My shop has been open for five years. And now 1500 designs are on sale. I’ve been creating machine embroidery designs for many years. First, design was my hobby, and I was creating designs for my family and friends, but over time it became my favorite job. How did I end up on the site? Like many other sellers, One day, a friend of mine told me about this site and that it allows you to sell digital goods. I really liked this idea. And here I am.

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

Now there are 1500 designs for sale in my store. I love each design in my own way. I put my heart into every design. I try to make each design beautiful and of high quality. I make designs in different sizes so that the buyer can choose the appropriate one. I have many seasonal designs and designs for the holidays like Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and many others. The sale of such designs begins about a month before the start of the holiday. These designs are best-sellers. Here are some of the most popular products:

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

My first sale was a week after setting up the store. For me, it was very unexpected and pleasant, as I only had 10 designs for sale. At the moment, I am not advertising the store; I only have a page on Pinterest. I just create what I like, and it sells well.

Managing AnnaEmbDesign

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?

I run the store myself. I sell a digital product, and after the purchase, buyers immediately receive a link to download the design and to use it immediately. Selling a digital product is very convenient since you don't have to send anything by mail, which saves a lot of time. I don't use any special applications now.

The future of AnnaEmbDesign

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?

I have no specific target for my store. I really love what I do, and I love that my designs are popular and increase my income.

Advice for new sellers

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?

The main thing is not to be afraid and to try! You will undoubtedly succeed if you have a favorite business in which you put your heart and soul. And do not forget that a high-quality photograph and a clear description of the goods always affect the number of sales.
