I'm not technical. Can I really set one up?

Yes. Type what you want in plain words and AI builds the automation for you to check, or start from a ready-made one. There's no code to write, and you can open any step to see what it does before you switch it on.

Will it change my Etsy listings without asking?

No. A step that changes your live Etsy listings has to be confirmed by you before the automation can go live. After that, the ready-made listing automations publish their improvements, up to 5 listings a run, and leave you a task with every change. Switch off “Publish improvements automatically” in the AI step and nothing is written to Etsy: the suggested changes are listed in your task for you to check and apply. Retire listings that never took off deactivates listings on Etsy, and needs the same confirmation.

Can it message my buyers?

No. Emails from an automation go to you and your team, and Slack messages go to your own workspace. A reply to a buyer, like the one review recovery drafts, stays a draft for you to send yourself.

What does it cost to run?

Switching on a ready-made automation is free. Runs use AI credits for their AI steps, like writing text or improving listings. Free comes with a one-time 1,000, and paid plans get 2,000 to 8,000 a month. Each run shows what it used, and an automation pauses if you run out of credits.

What happens if a run fails?

The run is marked Failed with the error in plain words. Open it to see what each step did, then retry from the step that failed (the finished steps are kept) or run it again. Turn on “Get notified when this workflow fails” to hear about it right away.

Who can use Automations?

Automations is in beta and isn't tied to a plan. It's being switched on for shops in waves, and shows up in your sidebar when it reaches yours. If you have a team, owners and admins choose who can view, edit or create automations.
