How LiftedKidsPrintables names its printables for Etsy and Pinterest

LiftedKidsPrintables
LiftedKidsPrintables opened on Etsy in 2025 and has made more than 500 sales of printable flashcards, learning posters and classroom activities, with a 5 star rating. The shop uses Alura's listing editor to retitle its printables in the words parents and teachers search for, and Smart Pins to keep those listings going out to Pinterest.
Learning tools that look like the kids using them
LiftedKidsPrintables makes printable learning tools for small children. There are alphabet flashcards where each letter turns into its own object or animal, so the a becomes an apple and the f a flamingo. There are counting cards from 1 to 10, a feelings wheel with an arrow that attaches in the center, posters for the weather, the months and the seasons, and growth mindset prints like "Progress not perfection" and "The power of yet." For a whole classroom wall, a 24-poster bundle covers the alphabet, shapes, emotions and affirmations.
Every product is a digital download that a parent or teacher prints at home or at a print shop. Lifted Kids was started to make learning tools that reflect the real world: diverse, vibrant and full of possibility. The illustrations show it. The faces on the feelings wheel come in many skin tones, like the kids in a real classroom.
Titles that described the design, not the search
A printable shop grows one design at a time, and LiftedKidsPrintables now has close to 150 listings. Each one needs a title that tells a busy parent what it is before they scroll on, plus tags and a description to match.
Most of the early titles followed one house pattern: the design's name, a colon, a style note, then "(Digital Download)" at the end. "Animal Counting Cards 1-10: Montessori Number Cards (Digital Download)." "Rainbow Sunshine Weather Learning Poster: Montessori Kids Room Art (Digital Download)." They described each design well, from the maker's side of the table. A parent searching Etsy usually starts with the thing itself, counting cards or a weather poster, and the same listings also had to work as pins on Pinterest, where plenty of teachers and homeschool parents save classroom ideas.
“I named everything the way I'd describe the design. A parent at the end of a long day just types alphabet cards or weather poster, so that has to come first.”
AI drafts the title, the shop decides what goes live
The rewriting happens in Alura's listing editor. Each listing shows a Listing score with separate grades for photos, title, description and tags. The shop ticks what it wants in Optimization settings, such as the title, tags, description and photo alt text, and clicks Start optimization. The AI drafts new versions right there in the editor.
Nothing reaches Etsy until the shop clicks Publish changes. View changes puts the old and new text side by side first, and Revert all or Listing history brings back an earlier version if a draft misses. Most of the new titles came from the AI. Some the shop typed into the editor by hand, like the retro "Make Mistakes" print, which now reads "Make Mistakes Quote Print, Retro Motivational PDF, Mint Background Growth Mindset Art."
The tags got the same attention. A Halloween pennant printable had been carrying tags like "nursery wall art" and "seasons poster". Its new set reads "halloween banner", "party pennant" and "halloween bunting", the words someone planning a party table would use.
Pins written from the listings themselves
The same listings go to Pinterest through Smart Pins. Once a day, Alura fills the pin queue with pins made from the shop's active listings, about 10 days ahead, ranked mostly by Etsy listing views. A photo pinned in the last 7 days isn't used again, so the same flashcard photo doesn't keep turning up week after week. The shop sets how many pins go out per day and when in the Pin Queue.
Pin text is set to Optimized for Pinterest with AI, so each pin's title and description are written from the listing. A clearer Etsy title gives the AI a clearer starting point. The shop also makes some pins by hand in the Create tab, alongside the automated ones.
“A lot of teachers plan their year on Pinterest. I'd rather my posters turn up there steadily than in one big burst whenever I find a free evening.”
Titles that start with what the printable is
A few of the rewritten titles, all live on Etsy now. The new versions open with the product, add the style second, and most keep words like PDF or download so a buyer knows nothing ships in the mail. The growth mindset print used to have a title that read like a row of tags. Now it names the print and what is on it: a blue watering can and a flower in its growing stages.
On Pinterest, pins like "Printable Montessori ABC Animal Flashcards for Preschool" and "Feelings Wheel Poster in Pastel Colors for Nursery & Classroom" each link back to their Etsy listing.

Advice for other sellers
Say what it is before you say what makes it special. Your style words still matter, Montessori, pastel, earth tone, but they belong after the thing a parent is looking for. Read your title out loud as if you were the parent asking a teacher for it.
And make printables obviously printable. Ending a title on PDF or download saves a disappointed buyer who expected a laminated poster in the mail, and an awkward message for you.
“Montessori and pastel still matter to my buyers. They just come second, after the thing a parent or teacher actually needs for tomorrow.”
