3. If you’re creating a new account, enter your business name in the account name box.

5. Click on Show advanced options button and enable the following setting: Create a Universal Analytics property

6. In the website URL field, simply put www.etsy.com

7. Accept the Terms of Service.

That’s it. Your account and your property are now all ready to use.

3. Copy the Tracking ID

At the top of the page, you’re going to notice a tracking ID. That ID will connect your Etsy shop to your Google Analytics account. Copy the whole ID number, including all the letters.

4. Log in to Etsy and Paste the ID

Log in to your Etsy account and head over to the Shop manager. There, click on the Settings button, and click Options.

You’ll now see three tabs. One of them is Web Analytics. Click on it.

Now, you will see the Web Property ID field. That’s where you’re going to paste the Google Analytics Tracking ID.

That’s it. Everything’s connected now. But it’s a good idea to check whether everything’s up and running.

5. Check If Everything’s in Order

Finally, it’s best to check whether everything’s in order quickly. 

1. To begin, simply open up your Etsy shop page in your browser. 

2. Next, open your Google Analytics Dashboard in another tab. 

3. Click Realtime and then Overview from the dropdown menu.

4. Active users Right Now will be 1.

That’ll show that you’ve connected Google Analytics with your Etsy shop.
