How TINATONERSKIN got started

Introduce your Etsy shop and tell us your story. How did you begin and decide on what to sell on Etsy, and how do you create your products?

I own a skin care brand called Tina Toner Skin. I started selling on Etsy after working as a nurse for 18 years and not getting the fulfillment I needed as a human being, so I decided to follow my passion of owning my own skin care brand. I started by creating handcrafted products like scrubs and butters in my garage and later sourced products from companies that aligned with my vision of creating natural and clean skin care products.

Favorite items

What are your favorite items? What makes these so special? Why do you think these items might be selling well?

I have a lot of favorite products, but my favorite is face magic, which is also one of our best-sellers. It is really good for the face; it clears dark spots and more. I also like the Clintone Set, which is a full body set with all natural ingredients. It truly represents what our brand is all about.

Getting sales on Etsy

How long did it take for you to earn your first sale and how do you currently attract customers to your Etsy shop?

I made my first sale. 2 weeks after I started using Etsy, I used Etsy's paid promotion to promote my store.

Managing TINATONERSKIN

How do you manage your shop? Are you running solo or do you have any team members? What tools or services do you use to run your shop and how do you handle fulfillment?

I started it all myself; I use social media like Instagram and Facebook's Tik Tok apps, and I attach my website to these aps. I now have a few workers helping me with packaging and shipping.

The future of TINATONERSKIN

What goals do you have for your shop in the future?

My goals for your shop in the future will be to grow and promote it  even more. I still need to create more awareness.

Advice for new sellers

What’s your advice for a new seller starting an Etsy shop?

My advice for a new seller starting on Etsy will be to be patient and  consistent, because sales might not start immediately. Also,  use tools available to promote your products.
